A famous quote states, "There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you." This is true of people in general and entrepreneurs specifically as well as the businesses they run. For our purposes,though, we might want to add that the story being told should be done so in as compelling a way as possible.
As a business owner, you have something to offer--something to say to the world. Whether you are offering a good or a service, you felt excited enough about it to devote a great deal of your time, energy, effort, and resources to the production and promotion of said good or service. Now you want people to listen to what you have to say and to act on the message.
How you present that message is as important, if not more so, than the actual content. In fact, how your "story" is crafted and delivered will determine if your targeted audience even listens to what you have to say. Therefore, due diligence, great care, and attention to detail should drive you in every step of the process of telling and selling your story. Everyone loves a good, well-told story. It's what connects us as humans.
We have a rich history of oral tradition. Our ancestors used to sit around a fire and listen to stories being told. What is often unsaid, however, is that the listeners also watched them. If these are valid assertions, then why not make video content a major piece of your marketing puzzle? Computer use and the ever-growing proliferation of smart phones makes the use of videos almost mandatory. Rarely a day goes by when a viral video has not made one of the top news stories of the day.
Furthermore, people in countries around the globe are using the capability of making and uploading videos to their advantage to get their stories told. If individuals can use them to such efficacy, then shouldn't your business do the same?
